RFP No. 1029 Torch Relay Community Celebrations

This Request for Proposals is issued by VANOC to obtain proposals for an experienced and high-energy stage management and event production company to execute the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Torch Relays Community Celebration Experience. Here’s your chance to be front and centre, up-stage and back-of-stage to help develop, plan and deliver an authentic Canadian Olympic experience that will leave lasting memories for generations to come. The project will consist of executing the overall Torch Relays vision at that grass roots level from coast to coast to coast. The work you do has the power to connect people and transform communities. The Community Celebrations are a gathering place for everyone to experience the Olympic and Paralympic flames and bring the true spirit of the Games to the corners of Canada. The successful Proponent will provide stage vehicles, audio/video, lighting, décor, large video screens and dynamic staff that will be the center point for the nearly 200 community celebrations for the Olympic Torch Relay and celebrations for the Paralympic Torch Relay across Canada. The team will be responsible for the stage movement, set-up, audio/video, lighting and run of show execution that will share the Olympic and Paralympic Torch Relays to all of Canada during the cross-country journeys.
